A memorial fund to create scholarships for kids 21 and younger enabling them to receive counseling if they cannot afford it.

The Luke C. Menne Memorial Fund is born out of the critical need for kids to have access to treatment for mental health issues. One of the key avenues for treatment is therapeutic counseling. Luke was a typical 15 year boy who loved dogs, video games and playing with friends. But he also battled depression, anxiety, ADHD and Tourette's for over 6 years. He received treatment from both his psychiatrist and his therapist. His struggles were real, continual and a constant battle for him. He was one of the lucky ones in having access to treatment. He died still battling to manage and overcome his mental health issues. Many kids battling similar issues or worse are not as fortunate.

One of the key avenues for treatment is therapeutic counseling. Out of the over 25 million kids in the US who need counseling, over 18 million are not getting the counselling they need. A typical session for therapeutic counseling ranges from $100-$200, without insurance. Treatment needs can range from 1-4 times per month and last for years. That is something many families can't afford for their kids. The Luke C. Menne Memorial Fund is there to help those families get the treatment their kids need.
